Those who are aspirant for admission through this test must fulfill certain condictions prescribed by the Dental Council of India, as a candidate :

- must be 17 years old at the time of admission or will complete this age on next coming 31st December.

- must have obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate in science subjects and English taken together in the qualifying or competitive examinations. In the case of SC, ST candidate minimum marks shall be (In Intermediate or its equivalent) 40% in place of 50% has passed two years Internediate equivalent course(+2) there of offering science subject Medical group namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botny & Zoology) from a recognized organization C.B.S.E. or I.C.S.E. Board / Intermediate Board or University.

or

- B.Sc. part Ist Examination of an Indian University as prescribed by the U.G.C. offering one or more subjects mentioned above, if he/she has cleared the remaining subject of Medical Group ( Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in the Intermediate examination or its equivalent one(+2).
